Yes, you read that right. No, this isn’t an Ad.
I recently had the opportunity to publish content on apple podcasts and like any other person I had no clue how to, I turned to google and realized how cluttered the information is. I had to scroll through 5/6 articles to finally understand how to get my podcast up and running. Which is why I have also decided to write yet another long blog post with clever SEO tactics because views.
Kidding, the tutorial is simple and easy to follow. Not only have I ensured that this tutorial should take you less than 10 minutes, but I have also ensured that this blog post might not index on Google search’s first page(by stripping away the post from unnecessary details)
This tutorial will help you go from “I have a .mp4 file” to “I have a podcast on iTunes”
What you will need:
- Soundcloud account
- iTunes account
Create an account on soundcloud.com
Open settings>content>fill in the required details>Make sure the ‘Include in RSS feed’ is checked
Upload your .mp3 files(minimum of 3)
Go back to settings>content>Rss feed>Copy the URL
Set up an account on iTunes
Log in to iTunes connect
Click on submit podcast
Enter the URL(from step 4) and click “Validate”
If you scroll down, you will see a preview of what your podcast would look like. Make changes on your soundcloud if needed
Apple takes up to 72 hours to approve your podcast, you will receive an email notifying you about the same. And that’s it! It is that easy.
